The NBA championship contenders have been narrowed down to nine (how about those Atlanta Hawks?). Only one series will go to game 7 in the first round, but only the Denver Nuggets got swept. This year’s playoffs have been full of hard fouls, coaching rumors, underdogs surprising their opponents, and some highly played “There Can Only Be One” commercials. While you’ve probably seen a couple of these a dozen times, you may have missed a few of the matchups.
Well, the hawks are gone, and all is right in the playoffs, thankfully for the nba. They would have had to rush into the studio to get some commercials with joe johnson and Lebron James, on top of the loss of one of the biggest draws in the playoffs. I can kind of understand how people have conspiracies with the NBA tipping its cap in favor of shaq advancing and the cavs and celtics obviously getting into the second. it’s a shame we could have as little as one great pg duel in these playoffs out of the number of scenarios there were with kidd, paul, nash, and deron williams in the mix. money’s on the lakers in the west, and cavs shock everybody again out of the east.
It will be pretty tough for the Cavs to make the Finals this season. Unless of course you use the logic that if the Wizards dominate the Celtics, and the Cavs beat the Wizards, then they should have no problem. Too bad that never works out. If the Cavs beat the Celtics, we’re going to get to enjoy some amazing performances from King James.
