9/07 VotD - Luis Scola rejects JO

Luis Scola may already be 27 years old, but the Houston Rockets expect big things from their rookie. Up until now, Scola has always been considered the best player in the world not playing in the NBA. During the past FIBA Americas tournament, Scola averaged 19.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg, including 20 points against the USA on 8-12 shooting.

After watching this block of one of the more athletic NBA players, you also get to watch Jermaine O’Neal react by accidentally stepping on Scola after the Argentine dives for the ball. Apparently O’Neal didn’t appreciate the play.

Due to unruly YouTube links, you’ll have to go to YouTube to watch the video, but it’s worth the visit. In it’s replacement, here’s a two-minute mix of what San Antonio Spurs fans can see they missed out on.
