While the Indiana Pacers still think they are in the running for Al Harrington, the Atlanta Hawks are talking about completing a multi-team trade. The Hawks would be getting the Denver Nuggets‘ Joe Smith and send Harrington to the Golden State Warriors. The rumor out there is that there are either three or four teams involved and the deal could also include Mike Dunleavy, Jr. being sent to the Los Angeles Clippers and Corey Maggette being sent to Denver.

Josh Howard expects to receive an extension similar to that of Tayshaun Prince. A deal should be reached soon, or Howard will become a restricted free agent. Howard may go after even more money than Prince, since many of his stats are higher than the member of the Detroit Pistons‘ Fantastic Four.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to need to find some extra roster space after re-signing Drew Gooden and signing Scot Pollard. With the intent of bringing David Wesley to training camp, the team will exceed 15 players and likely have to make a couple cuts.

Team USA blew out China 121-90, led by Dwyane Wade. Wade scored 26, and there were other strong performances by Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard. The USA Basketball team will play Slovenia early Tuesday morning.
