Portland working on trade for Magliore
The Portland Trailblazers and Milwaukee Bucks have been having discussions about a trade involving Jamaal Magliore. One offer that was apparently made was Magliore in exchange for Steve Blake, Brian Skinner, and Ha Seung-Jin.
Uros Slokar has become the next foreign player to join the Toronto Raptors. The deal is just for one year. The team drafted Slokar with the 58th pick in last year’s draft.
The Phoenix Suns signed New Zealander Sean Marks to a one-year deal. For Marks, this will be his fifth team in seven years in the NBA.
According to reports in Atlanta papers, the Hawks will re-sign Al Harrington to a 6-year deal, then send him and backup center John Edwards (another former Pacer) back to the Indiana Pacers for cash, a future draft pick, and a $7.5 million trade exception. Apparently, the deal can’t be finalized because the teams can’t decide on how much cash should be involved.
The New Jersey Nets would like to sign either Eddie House or Devean George. George has been rumored a lock to sign with the Mavericks and the Miami Heat have House at the top of their free agent list, so the team may have to look for somebody else to fill that swingman/shooter role.
Kenyon Martin may be on his way out of Denver, if the Dallas Mavericks have their way. There have been rumors that they’d like to trade for Martin, who seems to be on the trading block in Denver. Jerry Stackhouse looks like a strong candidate to be involved the deal…
