Iverson will remain a Sixer

The recent reports from around the NBA are saying that the Philadelphia Sixers have taken Allen Iverson off the trading block and expect to see the guard in uniform with the team next season. Iverson seems to be relieved because he was hoping to stay in Philadelphia but was willing to leave if it was best for the team and AI.

The Orlando Magic’s draft pick disaster Fran Vasquez has further complicated things by signing a new contract overseas. The four-year deal is worth around $7 million but his buyout is higher than $10 million, which would greatly discourage the team from paying to bring him over if an agreement was made.

A sign-and-trade may not work for Bonzi Wells and the Sacramento Kings. The Kings are trying to be careful with their salaries, and so Wells may have to end up with whoever offers him the most money or best situation on the market.

Kevin Pittsnogle signed a two-year deal to play for the Boston Celtics. Pittsnogle, who went undrafted, played for a couple of teams’ respective summer league teams but didn’t play well enough to land a contract with the others.

Steve Novak, a second-round pick, will sign a contract with the Houston Rockets in the near future. The team hopes Novak’s outstanding three-point shooting will help spread the defense for Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady to create.

The Toronto Raptors have officially waived Alvin Williams. Willams has only played in one game since March 2004.
