Four-Way Deal; Watson to Seattle
Though the biggest deal around the deadline may have to the Knicks taking on Steve Francis’ contract and migraines, there have been a few smaller moves so far around the NBA, including a four-team deal which featured Earl Watson being sent up to Seattle.
Sonics Receive:

Kings Recieve:
- SG Sergei Monia
- C Vitaly Potapenko
Nuggets Receive:
- PF Reggie Evens
- SG Ruben Patterson
- SG Charles Smith
Trailblazers Receive:
- PF Brian Skinner
- SG Voshon Lenard
Sacramento didn’t have to give up a lot [Brian Skinner] to get ahold of a young talented player in Sergei Monia, and Ruben Patterson was finally traded from Portland, whose still trying to scrap their nickname the ‘Jailblazers’…
Other small trades:
- New Jersey trades Marc Jackson and Linton Johnson to the Hornets for Bostjan Nachbar
- Cleveland grabs Flip Murray from Seattle for Mike Wilks, a second-round pick, and cash
- Miami acquires Derek Anderson from the Rockets for rookie Gerald Fitch
- Lee Nailon returns to Cleveland for a conditional second-round pick
